As in the war of 1812 Jackson had seen little action as the head of the militia. He also firmly supported Madison's declaration of the war and he volunteered for service on the Canadian front. More than a month had passed and he never received a response to his command or request. Though Jackson had little military experience as what they thought he was submitted as leader of a volunteer force by the person that was known as his friend which was the Governor. Also during the War of 1812 Andrew Jackson took command of the militia forces, but his mission was cancelled. While he marched back to Tennessee his people experienced his toughness.

But in his late teens he read law for almost two years, and he became an very good young lawyer in Tennessee. He also killed a man that had an unjustified slur on his wife who's name was Rachel. He also bought slaves and made built a mansion, which was built near Nashville. Later on as national politics took different sides around Jackson and his opposition, two parties grew out of the old Republican Party which were called --the Democratic Republicans, or Democrats, and also the ; National Republicans, or Whigs, which were opposing him. Unlike the other Presidents, they did not defer to Congress in policy-making but used his power of the veto and his party leadership to assume command or also called the request. Later on the year of 1832 he polled more than 56 percent of the popular votes and almost five times as many electoral votes as Clay. Jackson also privately threatened to hang Calhoun. In the month of January on the year of 1832 someone whispered to him that the Senate had rejected the nomination of Martin Van Buren as Minister to England while he was dining with his friends at the White House.Jackson jumped to his feet and said"By the Eternal! I'll smash them!" So he did. He retired and died on the month June and the year of 1845.
