The battle that was known as the Bentonville Battle was done on the March 19-21 in the year 1865.
this largest battle ever was fought in North Carolina, this was the only good attempt to defeat the large Union which was the army of Gen. William T. Sherman. The Harper House is now on this Bentonville Battlefield and this house has the downstairs as it was more that a hundred years again as a hospital. The farm home of John and Amy Harper,which was built in the late 1850s, played a big role in the Battle of Bentonville. many wounded soldiers were actually left at the Harper house. Many soldiers did go to the Harper house before dieing or something else some may have went back to the original lives but many did not.

This was an American soldier who was the general in the confederate states. He was the youngest son to a man named major-general Henry Lee. He was born in Stratford Westmoreland county, Virginia, on the date January 19, 1807. He graduated college as being the 2nd top person in his class.He married a woman named Mary she was the daughter of G. W. P. Custis, he was the adopted son of a guy named Washington and the grandson of Mrs. Washington. In 1836 he became what is known as the first lietuenant.
