Biltmore House

The Biltmore house is the biggest private residence in America. The Biltmore House is one of the most visited historic tourist destinations in the nation. The Biltmore Estate consists of 8,000 acres of land. This house is located in Asheville, North Carolina. It was built by a man that was named George Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt was a man who was inspired by a view from Downtown Asheville so excellent that he purchased 125,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains for his summer estate. On the Biltmore yard there is 8,000 acres of vineyards that give the Biltmore House more than 250 tons of grapes for the Biltmore Estate Winery. The Biltmore Estate is still privately owned and took care of by George W. Vanderbilt's and the descendants.
