Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam was built in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. The Hoover Dam is a Dam that forms the border between the two states of Nevada and Arizona. It is known to be the world’s largest dam , Hoover Dam brings much needed and wanted water and power to the Southwest. The Dam is 726.4 feet high and 1,244 feet across the top. No one has ever been buried in the Dam.The Construction of the Hoover Dam began September 30 of 1930 and the last concrete was poured in 1935. The Hoover Dam is ranked the 18th highest in the world. The Hoover Dam is a system or a part of system that provides water to over 25 million people in the southwest United States. It also has 17 generators that gives it the capacity to make 2,000 megawatts of electricity.
