Thomas Jefferson was not just an ordinary man he was a man of all kinds he was the author of the Declaration of Independence and also the Statute of Virginia for religious freedom. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States. He was a man that served his country for five years doing the things such as a public official, historian, philosopher, and plantation owner. He had a father named Peter Jefferson which was a sucessful planter and also a surveyor which Thomas Jefferson had a mother named Jane Randolph a member of one of Virginia's most distinguished families. Jefferson after he built the building named Monticello he married a woman her name was Martha Wayles Skelton, which he lived with for ten years happy as could be until the day she died which was very devastated. this marriage led the six children they had , but only two survived to adulthood. Jefferson never remarried but he maintained Monticello as his home throughout his life and kept making changes and made it his own by expanding it to make the house that he had now called home better. Jefferson also had slaves from his father and father-in-law which they say he had 200 of them. Later on after many adventures through the years he died on July 4th, 1826 which he died by old age he was 83 years old. By many evidents he was cosidered a very optimistic man.
James and Dolley Madison
Dolley Madison which was the wife of the fourth president named James Madison. Dolley made the White House a most delightful place to visit the eight years she was in Washington, D.C. She made it beautiful gregarious, buoyant, and cheerful, the regular social gatherings which she hosted were delightful events at which anyone and everyone would feel welcome.Dolley took to Washington, D.C., society and she was given a golden opportunity when Thomas Jefferson, which he was a widower, asked her if she would be willing to serve as his hostess at White House social functions. The first eight years that Dolley was in Washington, her influence the role she would assume after James was elected president in 1808 this was a important event. James Madison was a very small and wize man he looked like he was old and worn but he had alot more strength than you could imagine. As people said Dolley was the toast of Washington. James Madison was also born in the year of 1751 and grew up in Orange County ,Virginia. he was also a leader in the Virginia Assembly.He also helped frame the Bill of Rights and enact with the first revenue legislation. He also died in 1836 he had a wonderful life and he did not have a kid with his wife named Dolley Madison they were a great couple and had a very good life together as long as they could.
